Construction: Collection Of Images

Here I have captured a huge variety of images. I have used just one model but made each image look different in their own way. I have selected certain images and edited them specifically to make them look attractive and effective for my Music Magazine. Media music mag images 2

Research: Chosen Genre & Audience

The genre I have chosen for my magazine is "Pop and R&B". The chosen Target audience are females aged between 16-22. I have chosen this certain age because the type of language I will include inside my magazine will be formal, very highly lengthed articles and strong vocabulary which is suitable for a older age of people rather than younger, due to them not being able to understand the given information.

Planning: Introducing My Band OR Artist

Solo Singer-songwriter: Scarlett Rose
My model for these images that I will inlcude on my Music Magazine will be Krysia Knox.

Construction: Front Cover 2nd Mock Up

Here are the three stages I went through in order to create my 2nd mock up of my music magazine front cover. The first stage was all about the masthead, the image below shows how I finalised my masthead ideas down to two.

1st Stage:

The second stage includes my chosen masthead: Echo, main image, slogan and background colour.

2nd Stage:

Here is the final stage of my 2nd Mock Up of my Music Magazine. The features I have changed on the final mock up were the colours, as you can see I decided to chose very basic but proffesionall looking colours. The white background looks alot better against the black and white main image, it helps the image to stand out and look more effective and attractive. The chosen text colour, blue, stands out alot more against the white background which ensures that costumers "passing by" will be able to notice this bright sophisticated looking Masthead and magzine as a whole.

Construction: Contents Page 2nd Mock Up

1st Stage: When I created this first mock up of this contents page, my personal opinion was that the surroundings were fairly bare, from testing out different ways to improve the contents mock up I then managed to create my final mock up which is shown at the very bottom of this post. The contents mock up image below is the very first stage of making.

Planning: Masthead Ideas

Underneath is a list of names I came up with for the Masthead, which will be the name of my magazine. Some titles are miss spelt in order to make the masthead effective and also to make the magazine more direct to a younger audience who are keen on miss spelling names. I think these miss-spelt titles connect with the younger audience due to the common knowledge of teens publishing this typical slang language through media, such as: texting on mobile phone or social networking. Once I wrote out this list of my masthead ideas, I then took a survey to 5 people who are male and female between the ages of 16-17 which match my selected target audience. The results were 4 out of 5 preferred the title Echo overall and the remember person chose the title Echo as the favourite.

  • Musak

  • Beatz

  • Rhythm
